DRY STONE WALLING

My work has a deep connection with the landscape.
Dry stone walling for 10 years amongst the rugged panoramas of the English Lake District, the Silverdale and Arnside Area Of National Beauty and the Yorkshire Dales National Park has given me the depth of experience to build to the utmost quality in a broad range of stone and wall types. These landscapes are an ever evolving inspiration to my work.
Utilising local, natural materials and a high level of craftsmanship to build structures of both long lasting beauty and strength, my work sits as well in contemporary garden designs as it does in a more traditional context of the English country side. I have worked closely with clients such as garden designers, nature reserves and private land owners to fulfill a comprehensive variety of dry stone walling requirements.
Furthering my passion for traditional stoneworking skills, I also offer services using traditonal hot lime mortar; pointing and stone work repairs/rebuilds on both free standing wall structures and buildings. Please find examples of this work in the "Hot Lime" section of the Gallery.
